SmartySkills Training Pack

What do I need to get started? It can be daunting starting up a new system and moving to online but SmartyGrants is here to help!

This training guide has been designed as a road map forward to get you to where you need to be. SmartyGrants enables grantmakers to centrally manage all aspects of the lifecycle of a Grant Program. Getting yourself familiar with the concepts of the system and across these competencies will save you much time and stress throughout your grant cycles!

A full suite of video tutorials are available to help you get the best out of the system at your own pace and around your relevant time frames. The online video tutorials are built to match the competencies outlined in this guide and each competency will list the videos to refer to. After watching the relevant video a checklist for each competency has also been provided to ensure that you cover off everything as you work your way through to build your program. A sample process road map is also provided. This should be used as guide and
should get you well and truly on your way to successful online grant giving!

Note: this is a generic sample process map. You should map your own process and amend accordingly.

Sample Work Plan

A very basic sample implementation work plan template is provided in the training pack and an Excel version is available as a separate download below. A worksheet exists for each relevant section.

*Please note: this is a generic sample plan that should be amended to fit with what your processes are.  Save your downloaded version and amend to your liking.

Computer Lab Sessions
